Complaint One

Justice Joseph Rodgers dealt a blow to Operation Clean Government by refusing to move up the date of a referendum asking voters whether the state should have another constitutional convention. Rodgers dismissed the related suit on procedural grounds finding the advocates "lacked standing" to make their request. Robert Arruda from Operation Clean Government called this a "terrible decision" saying Judge Rodgers, "wanted to make an excuse to make this go away and saying we did not have standing as citizens he found that reason." Robert Senville, Attorney for OCG, said Rhode Islanders would have greater difficulty pursuing constitutional violations due to Rodger's decision.

Complaint Two

Complaint Three

Justice Joseph Rodgers ignores judicial misconduct assertions in the Fease complaint and doesn't suggest such assertions be sent to the Commission on Judicial Tenure and Discipline.

It takes a short time to learn to exercise power, but a lifetime to learn how to avoid abusing it.

We are no longer a country of laws, we are a country where laws are "creatively interpreted."
